Is there a silent killer lurking in the shadows of your life? Is what you are eating killing your budget and you?

What you choose to eat and how often you choose to eat it, can dramatically affect your financial health and your personal safety.

Let’s tackle the money part first.  Eating out can kill a budget and your financial progress faster than a speeding bullet.  “We found on average, it is almost five times more expensive to order delivery from a restaurant than it is to cook at home. And if you’re using a meal kit service as a shortcut to a home cooked meal, it’s a bit more affordable, but still almost three times as expensive as cooking from scratch.” Forbes Jul 10, 2018.  If you want to save money and get financially fit, buying your own groceries and cooking for yourself is a great place to start.

Now let’s tackle the personal safety part.  Being fit and eating healthy are great ways to increase your personal safety.  In a defensive encounter, you might have to move like your life depended on it.  Because your life might depend on it. Being in good shape and not carry extra weight can help you move better.  How do you do that?  Eat a nutritious diet and exercise.

Do you take your personal safety seriously? Then I suggest you look at the long term risk to your personal safety; if you don’t eat well and exercise. I would argue that the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) is way more dangerous to your personal safety then most people realize. It can be the silent, slow killer, that sneaks up on you and takes you out before your time. I will not belabor the negative benefits of not exercising or eating well, nor will go on about the benefits of exercise and eating. Either way, it only takes a minute to find good scientifically backed research to educate yourself.

Here are some great resources I recommend on food, exercise, and money.  The Obesity Code - Unlocking the Secrets of Weight Loss (book) by Dr. Jason Fung regarding fasting, The Game Changers on Amazon Prime (hint, they recommend a plant based diet), Kettlebell Simple & Sinister: Revised and Updated Edition by Pavel Tsatsouline, and https://www.ramseysolutions.com/ for money help.
