You should park like a Cop or Bank Robber if you want to increase your daily safety.

When you park nose first in a parking space like a normal person.  You increase the amount of time it takes to leave a parking area.  You end up backing out of a parking space when parking nose first, which makes it hard to see who or what is approaching your car.   Cars also go faster when they are driving forward and not in reverse.  

When you park butt first like a Cop or Bank Robber in a parking spot.  You see suspicious person(s) or something dangerous approaching your car.  You can make a quick getaway and create space between you and possible danger. 

When choosing a place to park like a Cop or Bank Robber.  Look for areas that you can clearly see your car from a distance and what is around it.  You might not get the closest spot to the grocery store or wherever you are going.  But, by being able to clearly see your car at a distance.  You can see if it is safe to approach your car.  If it is not safe to approach your car; don’t approach it. For example you have a group of miscreants by your car.  Be patient and let them go on their way before approaching.  Remember space is your friend when it comes to personal safety.  Space gives your time to react.

When it is safe to approach your car, practice making a quick entry.  Make it a game to see how quickly you can get in the car, start it, buckle up, and get going.  The more you practice, the better you will be.  Parking like a Cop or Bank Robber is great skill to practice and have in your tool bag of personal safety practices.
